You can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats the land

for you are made of earth

and dirt and rocks and stars

fault lines are just wrinkles

on the places we have scarred

and you can learn a lot

perhaps all you need to know

from the birds and winds that whisper

from the sunset's fading glow

there is no such thing as time

you are but a speck of now

so listen up and pay attention

to this silence screaming loud
